Highest single day spike of three,612 instances in West Bengal

In its highest single day spike, West Bengal on Sunday recorded 3,612 COVID-19 instances taking the tally to 2,94,806. The State additionally recorded 59 deaths taking the fatalities to five,622.

While the lively instances within the State rose to 30,236, the discharge charge marginally declined to 87.84%. The proportion of optimistic instances, out of samples examined, remained at 7.98% with 42,611 samples examined up to now 24 hours. Total samples examined in West Bengal stands at 36.93 lakh. Of the three,612 contemporary instances, Kolkata recorded 757 taking the full infections within the metropolis to 64,443.

North 24 Parganas accounted for 774 instances, taking the full tally within the district to 59,362.
