It was pre Durga Puja celebrations for the Mohun Bagan followers, as a whole bunch of them joined a procession with the I League trophy from Hyatt Regency resort to the membership floor. Mr. Aroop Biswas labeled the century-old membership as an establishment whose “path-breaking journey is important” whereas congratulating them for his or her historic feat.

“I would like to congratulate Mohun Bagan from the bottom of my heart for their stupendous success. I would request the century-old club to strengthen their Academy so more Bengali youngsters get the opportunity to represent at the highest stage,” mentioned Mr Biswas.

He added, “For an institution like Mohun Bagan winning a trophy is not the primary target. For a club that has won 200-odd trophies over time, the path-breaking journey is more important.”

Mohun Bagan membership President Swapan Sadhan Bose didn’t let go the chance to pinch arch rivals East Bengal, who wished the AIFF to finish the I League season earlier than saying the champions.

According to Mr Bose,”I at all times dreamt of two issues and I’m pleased that each my goals acquired realised. First was to attain 5 objectives towards East Bengal and the opposite was to see the final I League trophy being handed over to us earlier than we embark our new journey into ISL.”
